The only downside to these pants is that I won't be wearing them in public as I had hoped. They start to sit normally and after a few hours of wearing crotch bags they drop about 6 inches. I tried making them smaller to gather the fabric which worked, but they don't hold the fit when I try them on for the first time. and for some reason the drawstring doesn't help. I'm pretty skinny with no big butt so I guess the weight of the padding pulls them down. Either way, it's embarrassing, even if it's not the first thing people notice. However, I will say that they are very cozy and quite cute to lie/sit at home on a cold day. The keyword is "layout". I suppose a little weight around the middle helps the fit.
