My key broke off in the ignition and when I went to the dealer they gave me a score out of hundreds saying they had to reprogram my key as you can't open it. Having changed the battery in my key before and knowing that you can open it, I was able to order this, cut the key, remove the transponder chip from the old key and put it in the new one. That saved me several hundred. Everything fit and clicked into place and I was able to continue on my merry way.
