It actually works pretty well. I was surprised how well it worked. Unfortunately, this does not bring old, worn blades back to life. The best way to use this product is to start with a new blade. The first time I shave as usual and then I shave 40-50 times before each shave. This will clean the edges of your razor blades and make them sharp enough. I swap out my razor heads every two weeks about every 8-10 weeks. I'm sure some people can keep their blade for a year with this as I've seen some complaints, but I prefer a really sharp blade. This product keeps them sharp longer than anything else I've tried. It's like using a leather strap on a razor. It does not sharpen the blades, it simply sharpens the blade and cleans it of corrosion. How much blade life is extended depends on each individual. How coarse your facial hair is, how often you shave, and how you want your shave to feel. As disposable and spare bits can never be sharpened, all we can do is try to keep the blades clean and sharp for as long as possible. It really helps keep a good edge on the blades.
