I have a different brand beard comb, very similar size and shape. After more than a year of daily use and wear and tear, the wood started cracking in the middle. I bought this comb as a replacement. The comb has a small tooth that catches and pulls out the whiskers with every stroke. I was able to smooth it out with sandpaper so it doesn't stick anymore. Even so, the long edge on the teeth is too square. And the tips of the teeth are too sharp and pointed. Instead of sliding through my beard and untangling my curly hair, he tugs at it. I don't think it's good for a beard. The Rocky Mountain barber comb did not live up to my expectations for my newest comb. First impression. Just feeling the comb and the pouch that comes with it in my hand, I don't feel like they are of as good quality as I'm used to. The price of this comb was also higher. I always believe you get what you pay for, but maybe not this time. I'm by no means a comb or beard expert, but I think this comb could be better with some tweaking. Since I can't find the exact comb I bought last year I will try another brand. This one will be left in my truck or at work as a spare in case I somehow forget or lose the other one. I will say that the color and smell of sandalwood is amazing!
