I love these cute little monkeys. They are very soft and suitable for a child. I gave it to my son when he was maybe 4 months old. Just place him next to you in the crib and eventually he'll start reaching out and sleeping with him. So far he can't say the three monkeys I have. This is great for washing because I can change them and he doesn't care unlike the stuffed monkeys I gave my oldest son where the workmanship was so different that he can easily tell them apart and insists on how to sleeps with concrete. I just wish I could get all the different animals because they look so cute.
