I can't tell if this cable affects the sound quality in my headphones :) and I haven't had it long enough to confirm its durability. However, the construction seems to be of good quality and the ends are gold plated (gold finish is really important in applications where you don't move them much. My PC speakers get static at times and I have to unplug and clean it with alcohol). PART I like the most is the cable. It's really flexible without looking flimsy. When I saw the photo of the Revain, the cable looked like a thick and stiff cell phone charger. This cable is different, it is flexible like a thick piece of string. Based on my limited experience I would definitely buy it again. John
