Review on ๐Ÿ’ป Aluratek Slim 17-inch USB Laptop Cooling Pad (Model: ACP01FR) โ€“ Enhanced SEO-optimized Version by Tom Beland

Brilliant cooling, but really slippery.

This laptop cooling pad is an immature blend of brilliantly efficient cooling combined with some bad design choices. My Macbook Pro feels cool and cools the base of my palms nicely. Without this cooling pad, my MBP gets too uncomfortably warm, but this cooling pad keeps it comfortably cool and touching, and a constant stream of cool air flows from the top and bottom, making it a pleasure to use as long as my MBP to use rotates further. .Cons:* First, the sloped surface, while providing improved airflow underneath, is too slippery and I found my Macbook to slide off immediately. The surface of the perforated metal grid does not cause friction, which means there is a risk that the computer will slip and fall to the ground if left on the cooling pad. If the surface had a non-slip rubber texture, this would be a great product and would get an additional 1.5 stars.* I also wish there was some way to turn off the blue LED on the fans. Personally, it annoys me and cheapens the gig, but YMMV. If the LED had an off button I would add another half star. If the two disadvantages above were eliminated, this would be an ideal cooling pad that would be worth the higher price tag.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Electrical outlet required
