Review on Dell SE2216HV LED πŸ’» Monitor with 60Hz Refresh Rate by Christopher Ballard

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good budget monitor for immersive gaming with AMD Freesync

This monitor is bright and reproduces colors vividly. The monitor has good black levels and nice pictures. Backlight bleeding was not observed. It has a matte screen and helps when you have a light background. Easily navigate with 4 physical buttons on the screen. I wish it had display control software. The monitor looks good with thin bezels. Unlike some newer monitors, this monitor is "thick". The upside is that it doesn't come with a power adapter; Plug directly into a socket and you're done. The monitor is heavy and the stand is almost stable. There is no VESA mount option and no height adjustment or swivel options. But the monitor can be tilted up or down, which is enough for most users like me. It doesn't have many connectivity options like multiple HDMI, DP or DVI ports, but one HDMI and one D-Sub port will suffice for most users. 3 feet back, text is crisp and great for gaming. I don't play competitive-level FPS games, and the RPG and driving games I've played didn't have any noticeable display lag; The response time of 6 ms is suitable for gaming. Freesync worked great with my AMD graphics card; Freesync is the icing on the cake for a 27-inch monitor in this price range.
