I searched and compared scratching posts for almost a month before settling on this one. I read many reviews of almost fifty different scratching posts. I chose this one because the bowl was bigger thinking my kitty would love it. No, she won't enter until I take her there. Apparently she's a bit picky. who knew. She doesn't like the hammock either, but it's a good spot to get her toys out of the hole above. However, she really likes the top box, the rope and the scratching posts. And the ladder is surprisingly strong enough for my nine-year-old son to stand on. However, the tube above is a bit small, it is made for a slimmer and smaller kitten. It was very easy to put together, although the instructions were vague as to what size bolt to use, but when you lay everything out first it's easy to guess. It is very soft and may seem a bit fluffy at first, but the lint roller can handle it without any problems. I'm sitting in front of a window and it would probably be a lot shakier if I had more cats, but it works for me (my cat, to be exact). I would put it against the wall if I had more cats. Delivery was on time too! I'm glad I got it, it definitely saved my new furniture!
