I always buy Apple MFi certified cables and wall chargers for my iPads. I have many variable lengths. I've never had issues with slow charging or chargers (should have 2 AMP) and iPad heating up. I recently got my first iPhone so I was ready for longer lighting cords. I also got my first iWatch which gives me problems with a short charging cable. I chose this device because it was certified by MFi. Problem with short cables solved. I started reading negative reviews while charging my watch. Not the best thing to do *after* buying a 2-in-1 charger! I was dismayed reading reviews of iWatches fried on this device! How can that be when they are MFi certified? My watch was charged for about 2 hours. I decided to unplug the $300 toy from the charger. I'm glad I didn't leave it overnight as it was *very* warm! That doesn't happen with my own charger, so I have to deal with a short cable. It's not worth the risk!
