Got these to cover my boys single beds (Ikea memory foam) and they fit perfectly and are easy to put on yourself (although not sure I would try that). without help if I were to put it on a much larger mattress.) They close nicely and securely and do an excellent job of keeping mattresses dry and (hopefully) dust mites. It seems to work well against dust mites because my kids have stopped waking up with stuffy noses, but I'm also more vigilant when changing their regular bedding. I have washed them in the washing machine on a cold machine with a cool dryer prior to use and this did not seem to affect them negatively. They're soft and have a slight crackle when you put them on, but I didn't notice any rustling when they were zippered up and snug against the mattress.
