Very good product but CAUTION to consider

UPDATE: After replacing this product with an alternative that was $15 cheaper I can honestly say that this "TONOR"-arm is well built. qualitative. *IF* it fits your space, it costs $15 more than a popular competitor. The replacement/competitor I ordered is lightweight, made of thin metal, and doesn't look as strong or functional. This TONOR felt like a "real" mic boom, while my new replacement felt like a toy. (initial TONOR review below).===========This is a high quality product. However, I haven't been able to use this mic mount and am writing this review to (hopefully) save on future earnings. If you use it on a traditional table with good clearance below, everything is fine. However, if you're using this for a space with limited clearance underneath (e.g. a counter or table ledge) the design may not work for you. Why not? Pay attention to the headphone hook. This hook adds another two (or so) inches to the clip. This limits some of the places it fits. I held onto the edge of the bar and was over an inch shy. Too bad. That lever would be great! The headphone hook cannot be moved away from the clip. You'll need at least 3.5 or maybe 4 inches of clearance under the bottom bracket to clamp this down. While traditional clamps need about 2 inch spacing. If that doesn't bother you, I would recommend it. Looks pretty strong. Otherwise it would meet my expectations.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Communication with seller
