Review on USB Rechargeable LED Reflective Vest For Night Running, Jogging, And Cycling - High Visibility Safety Belt With Adjustable Waist And Reflector Strips By ECEEN by Robert Ryokan

Unsafe - do not purchase!

The "logic" behind this bike light's function is shockingly, dangerously bad. Probably the worst/most inexplicable it that the default mode is to flash a green horizontal light bar - you should NEVER have green lights on the rear of your bike (and in many jurisdictions, this is actually illegal).Almost as bad, using any of the defined functions (turning, stopping, going straight) results in that pattern flashing for five full minutes (again in green, except for stopping). Do you often make turns that last for five minutes? After five minutes, the light resumes its standard (unsafe) green horizontal line. You can override this 5-minute timer by selecting another of the defined functions, but cannot turn it off early, nor can you use only the turn signal function (it always defaults back to the flashing green bar after 5 minutes).Least stupid, but still kinda stupid, it provides what's supposed to be an "I'm going straight" function, but instead of this being a straight arrow, it's a diamond pattern (in bright green, of course). Since this is totally non-standard, it's anyone's guess what a driver will imagine a flashing green diamond means -- probably something like "all clear, go ahead as fast as possible."Using this light will literally be less safe than just having a standard red reflector on the back of your bike. Save your money.

Pros
  • Keeps hands-free but visible, freeing hands to hold water bottles, phones, keys, and more
Cons
  • The vest may not fit properly over certain body types
