Great before washing - shrinks badly. If I were you, I would take a size larger. They still fit, but slip slightly every now and then. However, these are the best socks we have found so far and I plan to buy more socks in a larger size. The swivel cuffs are comfortable for strong legs and they are not too thick or too thin. ETA: They also get lost in the laundry like crazy. Literally - they're small enough that when fully loaded they can be thrown over the top of the drum into the lower space, which is the washing machine's cavity. You can toss them in a delicates bag before washing to keep them safe. We bought two packs - 12 pairs - and there are only about four pairs left. Of course, this is not only a problem of this brand, but of every little thing that you can wash.
