Review on Heavy-Duty Magnetic CD Slot Car Mount for Cell Phones, Smartphones, Phablets, and Tablets - Mountek nGroove Snap+ by Tony Buckley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

An excellent update that really paid attention to design flaws and eliminated them.

I have switched to this standard latch 2 and it is much better. Improvements I've noticed: 1. Fewer parts. Snap 2 consisted of two separate parts for the snap mechanism and this is one solid piece with cut outs to separate the parts2. The metal plate where the screw meets the surface and the metal-reinforced plastic ensure it won't loosen or bend over time. I live in Florida and park my car outside most of the day so my Snap 2 gets quite warped and warped from the combination of pressure and heat. The old one even failed due to temperature changes.3. Improved magnet and handle cover. The cover is part of what makes it better, more friction and surface area so the phone is less slippery due to bumps if you've ever had that problem. Super stable. After screwing it in, I noticed that the phone moved with the body of the car. The latest model wobbled under normal road driving and was terrible on bumps. I noticed that the phone stays tight, like it's attached to a car. Great product, although snap 2 wasn't perfect it held me back for this version, can't see what they can do to improve it other than add something like phone and device stabilization. The jury is still out on how he handles long battles with the sun.

Pros
