I will be writing this review from the perspective of someone who has never used extensions. As I was about to buy some of these, I found out about all these things you should do after you get the overlays to make them blend together better: texturing, trimming, professional coloring, prewashing, etc. I didn't do it Do this with installed. Having said that, I took them out of the box and just popped them into the clips. I was surprised how well they matched my hair! I have dark brown roots with caramel highlights underneath. I couldn't tell where my hair extensions were! They curled up quite well and I was happy with how natural they looked. I didn't use the whole set and I had enough for my liking. I even cut one of my large wefts in half to create a few tighter strands to tie at the front if needed. I combed the roots a bit and trimmed them. They stayed where they were. The clips felt secure and didn't slip off and I had freshly washed hair. Now, I'm certainly no pro with extensions, but these kids hardly ever shed hair, and I curled them at a higher temperature than they recommend (like 410, my hair doesn't retain curls below). They did not burn and did not deform. The curls stayed on for an hour shoot and still looked gorgeous when I got home. For the price they are great to set up! I've used them for family photos and didn't plan on using them for everyday use, but now I could!
