I bought this dog food on my vet's recommendation for a dog I've raised who has been terribly mistreated. As a result of the abuse, the dog was missing much of his digestive tract and needed a diet that would keep him regular. This is the vet recommended food. When I adopted my own puppy from her shelter, I kept buying this dog food. My dogs are healthy, large for their breed and fully muscled. The vet compliments her on her health, weight and muscle tone every time we even visit my 8 year old chihuahua! A balanced mix keeps their bowel movements of good consistency, their movements regular, they never have an upset stomach, and they never refuse to eat, refuse to eat, or get tired of eating.
