So-so compared to others.

First I just wanted to give a little background. I have used at least 25 different types of H4 LED bulbs in projects. I mainly use them in motorcycles and scooters because they look good and draw less power from a small generator. They are definitely not a lighting upgrade. Housings designed for halogen bulbs will never work properly with retrofit LED bulbs, no matter how much you spend on them. The simple fact is that the body and reflector of a halogen headlight are designed for a halogen bulb. Knowing all this, let's consider this lightbulb. At first glance it looks like a good product. Use metal feet instead of plastic feet. The lamp base heat sink and fan are small, which is nice. They have an aperture for the low beam, as befits an H4 bulb. They emit white light. That being said, the performance and beam aren't as good as some others I've used. I've had good results with 4 side lamps mainly because they are closer (not the same) to a halogen lamp which gives a light output in a "cylinder" as opposed to flat LED lamps on either side. However, they are still not preferred. These double sided lights tend to have a dead zone in the middle of the radiation pattern in the two different housings I placed them in. This doesn't really bother me as the main goal for me is to get a cosmetically enhanced look. Standard halogen bulb and these bikes are limited at night. But just pay attention to those who want to improve their headlights in their car. If you really want to improve beam pattern and visibility, you'd better switch to a quality E-code halogen bulb like Tungsram +120 or Narva High Output H4. No, you won't get the cool blue, but you'll get better lighting for your car. Another thing I noticed is that the LED driver gets very hot! Too hot to touch. I've compared them to a few other LED bulbs I have and they are by far the hottest. Just something to keep in mind when placing these drivers in places where certain materials could melt or become damaged. They're good for the money, but not the best. Pay attention to the Mostplus lamps. similar price but worked better for me. Much luck!
