I use these add-on cables all the time - I connect a speaker to a laptop, I connect a phone through an amp, a phone to a speaker, etc. They keep losing or damaging them and are often met. This particular cable is the best of all - I like the braided cable, it just "feels" more durable. The connector ends are solid and I don't get any noise or attenuation with them. I can't ask for more. Oh, and the gold color, which I didn't like at first but is easy to find in a sea of black cables.
