The fold down design is great for accessing the back of your TV.
Used on the 80" Vizio E-Series (2017). With a TV this big you want to be able to hide behind it to access the jacks. The flip design is for that great. My wife and I installed this 113lb TV on this mount ourselves! It is not designed for the center stud. The mount is not to be altered in any way. With that in mind I have attached a photo from a quick job, at which a pair of 3ft steel bars was made that might allow someone to use this 3 bolt span.You can see in the photo that the metal bars are bolted to the bolts and the bracket is bolted to the steel bar.These Bracket is 2x4 wood studs.NOT FOR STEEL BOLT,NOT FOR BRICK SURFACE as instructed.
