1 works, 1 wiring is defective. Waiting for a replacement
One of the bulbs burned out on vacation. Replacing the headlights on the 2013 Outback is also notoriously problematic. It was confirmed that the problem was with the headlight assembly and not the vehicle's wiring to the secondary lamp. The lamp will flicker when the wiring it contains is moved, indicating a bad connection. Waiting for a replacement, the lighting was great, I'm only now questioning the quality assurance of each bulb. Something to be aware of if you have low beams which like me are difficult to replace.
