I bought "Hooked on You" earrings and the matching necklace just because of the blue color. It really stood out on my screen and the blue was just as vibrant in real life. However, the blue is actually only visible if you hold it directly in front of you. When you move them to see the sides, they become transparent. They're shaped like a cube, so it's obvious that the blue comes from something of the same color on only one side (i.e. the side where the earring is attached). That's the only reason I'm giving 4 stars and not 5. I say "something like a cube" but they can also almost be described as a pyramid - it's an odd shape, quite beautiful but odd. They are slightly larger than I usually wear, especially the stud earrings. I mean, they're not weirdly or unusually large, but it's hard to estimate a size from measurements alone without comparing it to your own earlobe size and the "casual" style you typically wear. So when I received it, I was a bit concerned. That being said, I've grown accustomed to wearing them, both in terms of how they feel to my ears and how they look to my ears. They don't pull or anything, they are very light and comfortable enough to forget I'm actually wearing them, but I wouldn't sleep in them as I sleep on my side. Overall, they look pretty solid considering the size. Will they break if you keep bending the bar? Yes, probably like most stud earrings. However, having worn them dozens of times and they still look like new, I would say they will stand the test of time. I'm so happy they are definitely 925 sterling silver! I'm allergic to metals (for example after 15 minutes I get a rash with blisters, discharge and other nasty things) so I rarely buy jewelry and when I do I'm very picky. There are no issues with them at all - no pins going into my earlobe, no little metal disc connecting the pin to the crystal, no butterfly substrate. Considering how many times I've worn them, I can safely say that they aren't 925 coated, they are durable. Otherwise the coating would have worn off. One final note, they were packaged in a cute little box and came with a cleaning cloth. None of these things are critical to me, but it's fun.
