An improvement over the regular SonicCare brushes

Okay, I've been using this brush for about a week and a half. Used SoniCare a few years ago. Here are my thoughts and observations. and Impressions: Pros: - The Balance model is lighter and thinner than my current SoniCare. It's not that the SoniCare is heavy or bulky, but for travel and general use, every little thing can help. The Balance model seems to have a more powerful "motor" than the SoniCare model I have. I don't know if that's true, but it seems to me that the vibrations are "more intense" - the Balance model beeps every 30 seconds to indicate that you should switch "mouth quadrants". I personally don't go quadrant by quadrant BUT I've always been annoyed that SoniCare does NOT include this feature as standard on all models. My SoniCare does NOT beep. The SoniCare model with this feature costs extra. Not much, but the difference is worth noting. The balancing model is easy to change and the cleaning heads to clean. Simply remove, rinse, air dry overnight and wear in the morning. I personally think it's a good idea to take it off and wash it after each use. With the SoniCare model, you must unscrew the top and then remove the cone for cleaning. Again, no Herculean difference in effort, but the Balance model is simpler and easier to maintain - Balance offers 4 different brushing modes - Cleansing, Brightening, Sensitive Cleansing and Massage. I think most people will just use the "clean" mode, but I can see that people with sensitive gums or very young people with very old people really want to use the "sensitive" mode. Personally, I don't think "massage" makes much sense. I don't know why I've ever honestly used it (who massages their teeth for any reason?). Whitening sounds great in theory, but I think truly white teeth would require a much higher and more intense vibration frequency than a Balance model would suggest. I could be wrong, cons - the Balance model is new so not sure about overall durability. My SoniCare is just perfect in this respect. As an aside, I have a Greater Goods floor and kitchen scale and they have performed great over the past few months. So personally I'm not worried. - Register this as 'so what', but I was kinda hoping the brush might have Bluetooth sync capabilities. Over the past year there have been many interesting studies showing how important oral hygiene is to overall health. So I would like to be able to keep track of my brushing routine as I could bring this with me and discuss it with my dentist/orthodontist. Once again, I'm probably one in a million who would actually use such a feature. In the end, I would absolutely recommend this Balance model over SoniCare. Is this a "game changer" compared to SoniCare? no But it's an improvement, at least compared to my SoniCare model.
