What a camera for the price! The Panasonic G7 is the sixth camera in their G series and I have to say they've finally made it big. This camera is the perfect combination of performance, size and price. This is a mid-range camera, but it can do pretty much everything that high-end models can. The 16 megapixel sensor has been improved and performs well at high ISO values. RAW files are easy to edit. The 4K video titling feature is top-notch, although you have limited manual controls for video capture. Speaking of controls, this camera is jam-packed with dials, levers, and buttons. This is a reference to the original G1 and G2 and I love it. Manageability is top notch, everything fits together and all features are easily accessible for quick access. The recording is excellent and I really think this is the most controllable camera ever. Autofocus is fast and accurate, but it also depends on the lens. So what don't you like? A little. The building materials are plastic, but the general build quality is quite good. Not in body stabilization, for some this is of great importance. I don't know why, I don't think it's that important. There's no weather protection, but we're talking a mid-range camera here, if you want to tick all the boxes you'll be looking for a more expensive camera. While Pentax manages to seal all of its cases from the elements, Panasonic can! All in all, it's hard to find a better camera for this price range. Highly recommended! Use the money saved to buy lenses. Because no matter how good a camera body is, the lens is what matters most. I see a lot of people upgrading to a new camera expecting to be amazed but always getting disappointed. Just because they only use the kit lenses that come with the cameras. If you could say I really like this camera. I'm a portrait photographer and you can see a lot of my work on Flickr. Just search for my name I guess. Happy shooting!
