These bracelets are made of a very stiff cord coated with some kind of starch. They are very stiff and don't lie flat. The workmanship leaves a lot to be desired as the knots look rough and the adjustable cuff is difficult to tighten around my wrist. If I'm not careful, the ends will eventually get caught. The colors are beautiful but that is the only good thing I can say about these bracelets. To be honest, they are more suitable for a child than an adult. They may soften a bit if washed and soaked in water for a short time.
