Phenomenal camera. My last was D40x. This D610 looks like I just finished my tutorial. Lots more features, better features, better control, the list goes on. I'm glad I started with this D40x as an entry-level model to learn without wasting exercises. All the more fortunate to have chosen this superb D610 as my next step. Wouldn't recommend for a beginner (too much camera and too much money). Just like I wouldn't have bought a Ferrari when I was 16 ;) But sharp-witted photographers - don't pass, don't collect 200 dollars. "Buy Nikon D610"
