I was on vacation and took a lot of photos. I had a laptop, an empty external drive and an external SD card reader, so backing up and uploading pictures is easy, right? Not so easy, my laptop only had a USB 3 port and my external hard drive and SD card reader required a USB port so this became a timely 2 step process. First copy hundreds of pictures to my laptop and then copy the pictures to an external drive. With this device, it's a one-step process! Pros: (1) Easy setup - there isn't one, you just plug it in. (2) Expands my 2-in-1 laptop from one USB 3 port + 2 USB C ports to four USB 3 ports + one USB 2 port + 2 USB C ports. (3) Adds SD and TF card reader (4) Adds Ethernet RJ-4 (5) I can now connect HDMI large screen monitor. So a great addition to my $60 laptop utility. Cons: I didn't find any.
