I've been using the docking station for a month now and it works very well. The only downside is that my laptop has to stay open or the computer goes to sleep, but that's most likely because my computer wasn't specifically designed to be used with a docking station like other Dell laptops. Be sure to check the Dell website to see if there is a docking station for your particular laptop. This docking station connects to a USB port and is designed for use with non-docking computers. If there is a dock designed specifically for your computer, you will be much happier with this dock. For those who don't have that option, this product works very well. In general very satisfied with the product!
