This dress is made of soft cotton with a dense and thick fabric. The seams were well reinforced. Overall fit is as expected. My physique is size 10 curvier, more hips, thighs and buttocks, smaller top and bigger arms. My waist is medium. The only slight disappointment was that the empire waist piping could be placed a little higher, giving the illusion of a smaller waist. It sits just below the smallest area of my torso so the overall effect isn't perfect, but it will work. Overall I would give 4 out of 5.
