UPDATED 30 December 2016 WARNING. These cables are unstable and don't work well with USB 3.0 hubs at all. My hard drives kept failing, my wired internet connection kept dropping, and I eventually traced the cause back to those cables. After I removed them, everything worked fine. The only reason these cables aren't rated 1 star is because they seem to work fine with a single WD MyPassport 2.5" USB 3.0 portable hard drive, which is odd. They were rejected and they have the exact same problem so I think it's a design flaw and not an accidental defect. Use at your own risk. I stopped using it and want a refund, but it was too much. I will be returning my other set ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is exactly what I wanted for my MacBook Pro, a late 2014 model that has 1 USB 3.0 port on each side, and I wanted the visual clutter/cables that i have minimize to see when my computer is connected to my desktop. They worked great for achieving a cleaner install, but also proved to be more convenient to plug in and unplug as they just sit where I put them and don't bend/bend the cables necessary when I move aside behind the computer so they're always right where they need to be when I need to plug them in. Biggest PRO: These two aren't the same: one is literally a mirror image of the other. So if you put them in the ports right next to each other they would go in opposite directions, which is perfect for a laptop configuration like mine, so I can choose to have them face either behind my laptop or towards the front if I want ( because the USB ports on my laptop are on opposite sides of my computer, if they were on the same side of my computer it would be less desirable than having one on the back and the other on the front). Highly recommended!
