Review on Rugged Ridge 11230 12 Headlight TXT Blk by Mike Devine

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Completely different from everything else!

Looks very cool! but they produce a few limited spots of light at the 8 and 4 o'clock positions, a/b at a distance of 10 feet. It's a lot less noticeable when you're moving, but it's there. The location may be because I fitted them to the aftermarket Truck-Lite style headlights on my 2016 Jeep JK Unlimited. Since the headlights I put them on are a lot thicker than the stock ones I had to use longer bolts than the ones that came out of the headlights, but they are now ready to use. The biggest problem I had was that I was so fat - I had to cut a tiny crescent in the grille around the lights for the two screw heads (outside the top and bottom screws, out of 4 screw positions, less than 1/8 inch deep - the last picture shows the offset of the grill before cutting). This allowed the grid to get back into the correct orientation - you really can't see the crop and A/B stuff like that! :D Check out the pics and see what you think, I really agree with the other comment that these guards are so different from what has been available for so long. I'm only giving 4 out of 5 because they struggle with newer/bolder headlights (not so much their fault but they say they fit 'most' headlights) and they let in some light when standing, but they do are HOW cool to look at. For some reason it reminded me of the last picture too?
