I ordered these for an intense 4 day river rapid expedition. I wanted something that would protect my feet entirely, have good grip on slipper rocks, dry quickly when out of water, and handle evening dry land conditions. These exceeded my expectations. The build is rugged and durable. They DO NOT retain water, which is great. The upper construction is fully mesh with adequate drainage holes on the bottom. You can submerge them completely and wishing a second of lifting them out of the water they are completely drained. Within minutes out of water, especially in the sun, they are completely dry. They're easy to take on and off, but fit nice and snug while on with the laces tightened (will not fall off even in whitewater rapids conditions). I also went on a 5mile hike with fairly rugged trail conditions and they performed very well. I would recommend extremely rough or long trail hikes in these because of the thin sole, but for the conditions I was in, they performed perfectly fine. Would recommend to anyone planning on spending time in a lot of water but who also need something that con travel onto dry land with ease and comfort. 10/10!
