Review on Massdrop x Koss Porta Pro X On-Ear Headphones: 🎧 Noise-Cancelling Mic, Voice Assistant, Track Skip | Collapsible Midnight Blue by Bogomil Iordanov ᠌

Not a bad product, quite normal quality.

Since the second decade, I have been using them (now the second or third pair). Once upon a time, it was impossible to get alternative folding headphones of this caliber for your money (it used to be roughly $30). I'm not sure right now because there are so many wonderful possibilities. It seems to me that they are more like "proper bassheads" and don't have a wearisomely inflated bass inside, although this is all obviously subjective. They are called bassheads. I personally have enjoyed their sound for many years, despite the fact that I have ears that are orders of magnitude more expensive at home. They sound extremely cool despite the price. Rockers are a perfect fit for them. Unfortunately, the most recent headphones purchased a year ago have a very subpar cable that attaches to the ears normally when walking but inconveniently rustles, crackles, etc. when jogging. The headset does not allow for track switching without removing the phone. Most likely, artisans should properly solder the wire. I would gladly accept the exact same sound in a more advanced and superior structure, perhaps wireless. The wireless version of the ears exists, but I don't like how it's done.

Pros
  • Great value for the money spent. They fold, have good sound, and are well-made; with regular usage, they won't disintegrate for years. The perspective is "cheap" in general, but the coss built a "ideal cheap construct" since the ears are quite cozy.
Cons
  • Very poor wire/connection quality; when operating, they creak and crunch. Archaic appearance; this could be viewed as a positive
