Update: You can see the original review below for some background, but after posting Anker contacted me and sent me a new cable. After about 1 month of use, I can say that the new cable is great and hasn't let me down yet. As the last one took about 5 months I will update it again in about 4 months to see if it deserves a 5 star rating. However, I own several Anker products and believe them when they say the original cable was probably just defective. They stand by their product and I appreciate that as a consumer. First Review: Bought the red cable in February (along with an extra black one). The black one is still charging well and the red one is barely charging. Never pull or twist the cable; it just stopped working (while the black one still works fine). I rotated them, so I don't know why the red one died quicker. Generally 1 out of 2 cables (nearly $20 each) lasted less than 5 months. I'm not sure if this is a good investment or not but I would like them to invest for at least a year. I probably wouldn't buy another Anker cable unless the quality of the cable improves.
