I was pleasantly surprised at the quality at this price point. Very well done.

These sticks are priced at the bottom of the price range so I wasn't expecting much. Imagine my pleasant surprise when I opened the package and stretched the sticks to the length I wanted. They feel just as good as some of the much more expensive sticks. A few years ago my wife and I traveled the Camino de Santiago in Spain so we know what good poles are. They seem to be just as durable as the much more expensive ones we have and use in Spain. Aluminum is light but does not bend under load. Clamps that hold the rods at a predetermined length grip and hold tight. Remember to tighten the set screw before closing the clamp. The cork grips make it easy to get a good grip on the sticks, but if you prefer a different feel you can hold the sticks lower under the cork with a foam-lined area that doubles as a hand holder. The poles come with a steel tip for slippery surfaces like ice, plain rubber tips for walking on sidewalks or other hard surfaces, tips for exercise or power walking, mud and snow tips. So you are prepared for all hikes in any terrain. I would feel comfortable taking these sticks back to the Camino which is a 500 mile hike across Northern Spain.
