These sticks are priced at the bottom of the price range so I wasn't expecting much. Imagine my pleasant surprise when I opened the package and stretched the sticks to the length I wanted. The poles come with a steel tip for slippery surfaces like ice, plain rubber tips for walking on sidewalks or other hard surfaces, tips for exercise or power walking, mud and snow tips. So you are prepared for all hikes in any terrain. I would feel comfortable taking these sticks back to the Camino which is a 500 mile hike across Northern Spain.
