I've had this cat tree for about 7 months. I bought this when I adopted a kitten in February and it's perfect for her. It's also very easy to build. The first few photos show the current condition of the tree. My kitten (now over a year old) and my other cat (5 years old) are fine, scratching and playing with him. As you can see the attached ball toy fell off and I replaced it with other cat toys on strings. The included ball toy didn't last long, maybe only a month or so. As for the size of the cube, my kitty is comfortable playing and playing in it. She is almost fully grown and weighs 9.5 pounds and I think a cat over 10 or 11 pounds would be too big to fit. One comment I have is that the scratching posts come off very easily. My kitty likes to run in circles around the bars which loosens them up. Even just regular scratching causes it. They screw on easily, but it's still a hassle to check every day. Otherwise this is a nice little scratching post and I would recommend it.
