I watched a lot of YouTube and OWC videos to find installation guides. It was easy to transfer data from "old" SSD via Time Machine backup. The processing time for 750GB of data was about 24 hours (SSD installation less than 1 hour, data backup and migration 23 hours). Maybe back up and transfer your data before bed. Important note: I was able to use an OWC case with a non-Apple 1TB SSD. See attached photos and videos. The OWC website and Revain product description state that the case will only work with a genuine Apple SSD. Am I lucky? Not sure but works for me. Hope it will be for you. I highly recommend this upgrade if you need more storage. Worth the money to build yourself considering my laptop is over 6 years old. Brought life to my laptop. I wish you success.
