TL:DR These are fantastic in-ears for everyday listening with minimal use. Not ideal for sports/gymnastics, sweating. This is a great system for the average person, but will disappoint the music lover. The bass is very pronounced and happy, the mids/trebles are not that balanced. However, the battery life is really amazing. FULL REVIEW: I'm a video editor and I often need to edit/view outside of my studio. I've been using my ATH-M50x for almost 15 years now so I'm very familiar with the sound but I'm tired of lugging them around. I've had a couple of cheap anchors that I CANNOT use outside of cycling, the battery keeps dying. Looking for a stylish, functional headphone for casual listening and editing on the go. A big Audio Technica fan was excited that they have a line of in-ear headphones. This pair seemed like a good middle ground between their high-end and low-end models, the battery life seemed incredible compared to most other brands, which really appealed to me. First, listen to almost all heavy bass reviews. are true. It's huge and the highs are noticeably restrained, muddy compared to my old M50x and ATH-ES7. As other people have said, there was a noticeable hiss/high frequency coming from the right cardioid (although definitely less pronounced than my armature). At first I was so disappointed that I wanted to return them and looked for other options. Two things happened. At first I felt like I'd have to shell out an extra $100 to get something that would reasonably satisfy audiophiles, and I went back to 6 hours of battery life on a single charge. I personally didn't need that to hear the sound of GO TO. Second, I just started using them and I really liked them. For those who listen to EDM and film music, I really enjoy the bass. My ears have adjusted to high frequencies so much that they don't really bother me anymore. Spotify has a built in equalizer that I use to equalize. They work very well for Zoom calls and casual listening, and even for video editing, they're quite adequate. Extremely portable for travel and again an excellent battery, not to mention the aesthetics. I think they look better than any of their models. So I decided to leave her. I've only had them for a month, the left earpiece really fell off once during that time. The buttons aren't stunningly accessible, but they're functional. I've worn the medium sized rubber tips and have been fine with my usual 5 hour continuous use. Volume seems a bit limited on the louder end, and yes, unfortunately the app still isn't very good and doesn't need much except for a firmware update (which should help you with the frequency). They seem a bit delicate so again a low abuse product, office, plane etc - I wouldn't take them on a hike, bike ride, jog or in inclement weather. Let's see how they hold up over time.
