AFTER ALL! Safety harness to protect against escape.

I was looking for a safety harness for my German Shepherd mix. He has a narrow, deep chest and a thin waist (e.g. boxer, greyhound, whippet). As a pup, he was thrown outside and injured before being taken to the rescue. Despite numerous desensitization attempts, he is still afraid of trucks/buses today. He literally lies down and freezes. He broke out of his harness more than once. There were times I used him on TWO harnesses at once to ensure safety. THIS pendant is IT. Two straps allow you to adjust the chest and waist area. You can also adjust the neck part and the chest strap. This gives 4 adjustment points (5 but I count each side of the neck as 1 because they adjust like a pair). The initial settings are for ALWAYS, here, here, here and here will be tweaked, but once installed, well, YES! I'm not sure I'd like to hang a dog on him (he weighs 52 pounds) but the little guy is doing fine. I would definitely help him climb over a fallen log or climb a rock with a pin while hiking. It's a solid harness, it's well padded, the dog seems quite comfortable and we've already checked if he can back out (HE CAN'T!). I'm excited because finally, at almost 2 years old, I can walk this dog without any doubt that he can pull. This is not a cordless harness, but working on the leash behavior mentally solves this problem with the dog. The dog responds to some pressure on the bib when walking and prefers not to pull too hard, but I wouldn't say it's a stretch free harness. It's all about safety, durability and comfort (without chafing). However, measure carefully. If you go to the company's website, there is a detailed size chart if it's not listed in this listing. It seems pretty accurate. This pendant is rated highly on the forums, on the websites of the companies that sell it, and here. You're right. FINALLY one with two straps that 100% prevent falling out. My former harness was Dean and Tyler. I LOVE this harness but the dog shies away from it. These are the two straps that differentiate this harness from the rest.
