I'm not sure why anyone is still patching old thick cables. They are Cat6 certified and easy to use. I used a similar one on a Cisco 4510R with almost 400 connections, installing and managing the switch and connections is much easier and better. It doesn't hold package warp and also allows for great desktop cables. Note. I've only seen ultra-thin cables up to 15 feet long, I suspect they'd be difficult to certify past that length. But I had no problem getting 1GB on the Switch and Desktop with these cables.
