Review on DESERT FOX Camping Automatic Waterproof by Sfl Richardson

The bottom is not waterproof

The tent looks good. But that's all. We went to Rhode Island for a hike in July and it rained one night - only 0.17 inches, which is a pretty light rainy day for the Northeast and happens to be 1 a week. I accidentally went inside the tent to get something and noticed that water was pooling on the tarpaulin under the tent as the rain cover didn't protrude far enough and there were puddles of water running through the floor inside. In the end we had puddles of water in the tent. Luckily we had spare tarps with us and had to cover most of the tent with a tarp to keep puddles out. Install it in the yard before travel. Please note the instructions are in Chinese only so I had to decipher the grainy black and white photos to understand them. A pair of retractable poles did not open/close smoothly. When we set it up for a ride we had to tie a rope to a post midway in order to get it out properly as it kept bursting in. When we covered the tent with a tarpaulin in the morning when it rained, one side of the tent poles jumped out, so that in the morning one side was lower than the other on the ground. Also, 3 people in a tent would be pretty cramped with no room for anything else. My husband and I were a good match, standing about 2 feet to one side of us. Husband is 5ft 11in and had to sleep diagonally when his legs kicked off his sides. Which made me a little uncomfortable. Regardless of the return and would not buy the brand again. My $40 four man Coleman tent is 100 times better than this tent.
