Bought to replace luggage scales with analog spring dials because they were bulky. Although this one is wider, it's basically a narrow cylinder, while the other was more like a half-sized glass. An improvement is the feature of automatically displaying the "Final Weight" value versus the plastic arrow which needs to be manually reset and only moves up, not down. "Final weight" means that the scale will recognize when the weight is not changing and freeze that value for you to read until you reset it for the next try. Never more than 55lbs, so I can't say if it can handle the 110lbs max weight, but there's no reason I would ever try to weigh a bag that heavy.
