Update - October 9, 2020: Not sure what to expect from something like this - I bought a WixGear magnetic phone mount almost exactly two years ago - 1.5 years has been great. But then the device lost its ability to tighten - therefore it did not stand upright, but hung down together with the phone. Now I don't know how to detach it from the dashboard. Any guidance is welcome. I've only had it a few days but...so far so good - one concern has been complaints I've read about the mount not sticking to the leatherette dashboard - no problems so far. I also read that the mount will fall off - this happened to me, but then I realized that you can tighten the mount. In any case, the angle still works for my purposes when/if it falls off. Sitting alone on the dashboard doesn't look great, but basically I always have my phone with me when I'm in the car and now it has a perch.
