As I've used the iPad, I've come to the conclusion that it's more of a tablet with a famous name and less of a gadget for those who want to overcome challenges and aren't deterred by the discomfort of functionality. To put it plainly: all that really matters is that I have an Apple; everything else is just a nuisance. As a long-time Android user, I have almost overcome my aversion to glitches and sluggish programs—not that anyone would ever notice. A few years ago, Apple was known for excellence, and Android was still in its infancy. Now, Android has risen to the top, while Apple has stayed at the same position. After a month using the iPad, I have come to this conclusion. I shall elaborate. No way to go back. You have to hunt around for the "back" arrow in every program to get back to the previous screen. And it's simply not there in some locations. Take Youtube as an example; once you've started playing a video, you can't go back because the app doesn't include a "back" button. You'll see "Back" after you've finished the video. If you don't want to watch till the finish, just close the screen and start over. It may be minor, but it's still annoying. The "buy" button is conveniently located on the screen displaying a catalog of apps in the iStore. You can't buy it since the password entering box doesn't appear until you enter the software itself after clicking "buy" and then "get permission from parents" (I have a tablet for a child and istore needs to ask me for permission, I have to enter a password). This is iStore, and it's wet and unfinished. What about that? I installed the Swampy2 game. Where, exactly, in Android would she be experiencing a problem? The iPad randomly resets to the home screen every five minutes. Maybe I'm being too picky, but for fifty bucks, I'd want to have something that works, if not well, at least without being too annoying. Furthermore, this is. The problematic Music app costs $130 per month. My first impression of the iPad was that it was a very high-quality piece of technology. Those who still sing Apple's praises clearly haven't seen the latest version of Android.
