Softens when heated leaving a waxy finish

We are always working on wheels and bought this to keep items in our RV from moving on the road. The RV drives down the highway bouncing like a 2 judge earthquake! We needed a way to mount the table lamp, modem, router and bookends on the table and our brake buddy monitor on the dash. Pros: large quantity, holds items securely on the surface to prevent sliding, storage container. Cons: Wax tends to soften and melt when heated, if softened items don't hold well it leaves sticky marks on surfaces. Conclusion: This can work well in air-conditioned environments and when you don't plan on moving items to a new location. However, in warm environments or exposure to sunlight, this product became soft and did not adhere well. Worse, when it melted it left a sticky residue on the surface. I was able to delete it with dumbbell so it wasn't permanent. For our needs, Quake Hold Putty is better; It held objects in place, didn't soften or melt when heated. It's a much smaller amount, but a little goes a long way. I would like it to come in a resealable container but a ziplock bag will work. I was able to delete it with dumbbell so it wasn't permanent.
