I was pleasantly surprised when I took them out of the shoe box. The thing is, despite some reviews, I still envisioned a more laid-back show trying to pass as trendy. I have experiences that support this reasoning. So I opened them, I had to try them on immediately. Once I pulled out all the stuffing, I fastened the laces so you could even put your foot in the boot. They weren't flimsy cats, cheap shoes masquerading as the chic side of casual style. These are real things. I wore them indoors to test the comfort: very nice. They didn't chafe my ankles or the top of my foot where it meets my Achilles' heel. They fit exactly how my size 9 should fit. In general there are no complaints. Of course, they are not only made for shorts or normal jeans. They look good with almost any outfit, even casual ones, rather than flip flops that you wear with shirts. I love these shoes. Good selection for everything.
