How can this remote control be a good replacement for the remote control that came with my Android TV box? The power button on the Air Remote cannot turn my Android 9.0 TV box on or off. Also, I couldn't program the IR TV button. Obviously the TV remote must have NEC. I'm used to seeing NEC on smartphones and Bluetooth speakers, but not on TV remotes. Update: Finally figured out how to program the IR buttons. After I gave up on programming the TV's red power button, I was able to program three of the four colored IR buttons: Red turns the TV on and off; Green turns the Android TV box on and off (Also, the red main power button turns the box off but not on). Yellow toggles surround sound on and off.
