If you've ever assembled wire shelving, you know what you're getting. They are like all other wire shelving but a little lighter than typical industrial shelving. Still suitable for normal use. The only odd feature is that the shelves are installed upside down. What I mean is different from many other wire shelving I have, here the shelves are arranged opposite the regular wire shelving. That means there is a lip on the shelf (like a basket). At first I thought it was probably a defect and a design flaw, but the front-to-back support wire is under the shelf, just like a regular wire shelf. This means that if you install the shelf upside down (which I thought) the shelf will not be smooth front to back due to the support bar. They ended up working fine when installed as intended, so I just left everything as is.
