When I received the package I waited some time (3 weeks) before using it. I went and lit the candles and none of them worked. I had extra batteries so I put them in and they started working. So I had to replace 6 batteries immediately. I turned them on and for 1.5-2 hours they worked fine, and then they just started "flashing" at the base, making the candle look very unnatural. The flame continued to flicker, but the base of all the candles continued to flicker. I turned it off and restarted and the blinking started again. I have since returned these candles as they do not look natural. When I got back I took out my new batteries which I had to use to replace the bad batteries that originally came with the candles.
