Review on πŸͺ’ Schick Hydro Razor Blade Refills for Men - 4 Count +1 Hydro 5 Refill (Pack of 2) - Superior Shaving Experience by Katie Payne

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Excellent blades. Comparison Hydro 5, Quattro and Hydro 3

I have used all three razors and Schick blades and here is a detailed test report: All 3 blades have in common: 1. Sharp blades - the blades are really sharp and for every beard/stubble .2 . gel tank. Most blades have smears that don't hold up well over long periods of time. Schick blades have gel reservoirs that hold up well. The amount of gel seems to increase from Hydro 3 to Quattro to Hydro 5.3. Skin Guards are small strips of metal on top of each blade. Soothe your skin while you shave. Differences: 1. Schick Hydro 5 - In addition to 2 additional blades compared to the Hydro 3 and 1 additional blade compared to the Quattro, the amount of gel in the reservoir seems to be the highest with the Hydro 5. Also, the rubber strip on the bottom of the cartridge is the softest and widest in the Hydro 5. It grips and stretches the skin as you shave. For those with softer facial skin, this feature really helps achieve a close shave.2. Schick Quattro - As the name suggests, it has 4 blades. The amount of gel in the reservoir is larger than the Hydro 3. The elastic band is slightly less wide than the Hydro 5 and doesn't stretch the skin as well as the Hydro 5. However, I didn't want to run 5 blades across my face every time I shave and so I thought it was a decent combination of number of blades + lube + rubber strips.3. The Schick Hydro 3 is a basic cartridge with 3 blades. The blades are sharp. However, the rubber strip is too small and not as soft as the other two, so it doesn't stay on the skin very well. For people with softer skin, this doesn't work very well and barely glides across the face. I The beard also grows much more during the day compared to the other two blades. I had to return the item for the above reasons. I'll take the Quattro.
